528245_10153314900585253_41743717_nMalf is a Singer/Songwriter & Actor and has been writing songs since the early 90’s. He began his musical career at the age of 12 by playing trombone in the school brass band. By the time of leaving he had already joined the senior version of the school band named ‘Rhodian Brass’, touring venues across England and Wales and consequently playing on the LP record, entitled ‘The Sound Of Rhodian Brass’. Since those heady days of brass he took up the guitar and started to sing, fronting numerous bands and acoustic duo’s along the way. By the mid 90’s, he formed his own band ‘The Custard Garage’ playing his own material and playing all around the North Of England.
He moved to London and studied Drama at Richmond Drama School but also had a regular acoustic spot at the’ The Half Moon’ live music venue in Putney. Whilst fitting playing and recording around numerous Theatre performances, his song writing prowess is certainly rich in life experience. In 2010 Malf released his debut album entitled ‘RadioMagnetofon’ featuring a wide range of musical styles, incorporating Rock, Punk, Soul, Heavy Metal and Indie genres.
As well as appearing on Uckfield FM, BFBS Radio, Stroud FM and ‘Tom Robinson introducing’ on BBC Radio 6, Malf’s songs have also been released on the ‘Buzzlighter’ CD compilations for college radio by The US record label, Shut Eye Records.
Malf has gigged in venues all over the North and South of the UK, played at Malostranska Beseda, one of the top venues in Prague, Czech Republic and traveled to California USA to play at Sylvia Massey’s 4 & 20 Blackbird Festival in August 2012.
