BBC bosses have said that EastEnders must reflect the ever changing and dynamic face of East London.

The long running soap which was recently revamped, bringing in Danny Dyer as the landlord of the Queen Vic pub, looks set to finally incorporate the hipster vibe of Shoreditch.

Executive Producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins said: ” EastEnders has to sing new songs, otherwise it doesn’t feel fresh.” The BBC plans to build a replica of Albert Square but with 20 percent more space so new locations can be brought in.

With East London firmly cementing its status as a cultural, lifestyle and tech hub over the past few years its no doubt that the producers of EastEnders will have their pick of the crop.
