Impossible Project: Interview With Andrew Millar

Tell us about your Poloroid project?

I basically create mixed media collage with instant film and gold/silver leaf. The size varies from one single standard Polaroid to over a 100 pieced together.

How would you describe the art scene in Shoreditch/East London?

I’ve been living at the Whitechapel end of Brick Lane for the past six years now and notice the artwork in the area changes daily so visually it never becomes dull.

Who are your favorite artists?

Jean-Michel Basquiat as I think his work comes across as honest, natural and not preplanned. Connar Harrington’s graffiti pieces have striking detail which always stand out to me.

What are your future plans?

I’m currently in the process of converting my analogue Impossible film collages into limited edition gold leaf screen prints for Print Club London.
