Sennheiser URBANITE Wireless Review

The Sennheiser Urbanite XL Wireless Headphones are designed for those who are well and truly into music. Aesthetically the headphones look very modern and stylish in black & white – small details such as different textures or the white stitching on black upper canvas make for some sleek finishing touches. When it comes to size, even though the headphones pride themselves on being XL format, the fact they are foldable means they can be easily compacted to store or transport them.

Getting started with the Sennheiser headphones is an easy process as it features straightforward Bluetooth pairing. Sometimes wireless headphones can let you down when it comes to sound quality over Bluetooth. That’s not the case with this model, as the sound over Bluetooth is just as clear as when the headphones are plugged in.

The bass isn’t too overpowering on the Urbanite XL Wireless headphones and, overall, they have incredibly clear sound quality. What’s more, your listening experience won’t be ruined by external disturbances as the padding ensures good noise reduction.

Everything is designed for ease. The highlight wireless feature gives you that extra bit of flexibility. But it doesn’t stop there – you can change tracks, adjust the volume as well as take calls by using the touch control panel on the right earpiece, rather than having to resort back to the device the headphones are connected to. Just to save you from getting confused, Sennheiser have even made sure that ‘left’ and ‘right’ are indicated on the earpieces.

Whilst it may seem like extra effort to have another battery-powered device to charge, the process has been made fairly stress-free as the headphones last 25 hours before they need recharging.

In short, the Urbanite XL Wireless headphones are great for mobile listening, whether for relaxing at home or when on the go. In terms of both sound quality and design, Sennheiser certainly weren’t lying when they decided to call the model XL: these Urbanite headphones are not for anyone who might be music shy.
