Created by a young team of passionate foodies, photographers, writers and designers – Wriggle combines the best elements of curated London food and drink guides with generous savings. But Wriggle also has a strong community mission to get people spending at independents rather than chains, catalysing a consumer trend to support local businesses – aided by over 20,000 users already.
East Londoners are spoilt for choice by countless cool little cafes, bars, restaurants and pubs. Like most people, we don’t have enough money to eat out all the time or risk straying from our favourites.
Wriggle Founder, Rob explains “people often go to chains because they know what to expect – Wriggle mediates this for independents, offering a benchmark of quality and a guarantee that we only work with places that we love, whilst rewarding people for going out of their way.”
Discover your local hidden gems, at a discount
Wriggle introduces you to hundreds of the best independent bars, cafes and restaurants in East London – and gives you exclusive discounts at all of them with daily changing content. Every offer is a personal invitation from a carefully chosen local business to check them out for less.
From Wriggle’s extensive list on the day, we chose Mother Clucker (no.1 fried chicken in London – Buzzfeed) and booked and paid – just £3.50 using credit for first time users) – all in two taps. Dangerously easy.
Wriggle is quickly becoming East London’s lunch app – turning lunch breaks into adventures, whilst saving people money in the process. With over 200 businesses on board already after just 6 months, there’s plenty of evening inspiration too; from award winning street food like Mother Clucker to Observer ‘London’s 40 Best Restaurant’ favourite, Salon.
