MAdein

Art and painting have always been very important part of French artist Jerome Clem life, but his first work dates back to 1996.At that time, his paintings were mainly based on the work of different material through abstract pieces of work.

Beginning in 2012, he decided to relive the childhood by introducing characters of his youth faced with the hard reality of today with the reign of the multinationals and money. This is the story of a child who becomes an adult. Drawn from inspiration from Marvel’s superheroes and Walt Disney or Looney Tunes characters, which are mixed with street art, graffiti ,ads from the same period and the logos of multinationals.

From this interesting mix emerges a colorful, flashy and even trashy composition. Jerome’s work is strongly influenced by the pioneer Pop Art artists like Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.
