French artist Clément Lesaffre‘s series “Roots” projects portraits onto glorious landscapes, reflecting on the material and nonmaterial heritage of territory and occupation of land. The images evoke a sense of tension and beauty, commenting of the symbolism of human construction. His work was designed to offer viewers a different perspective on inhabiting the land and reminds us reflect on the spiritual dimension of the earth.

He developes the notion if identity and how we are deeply rooted in the places in which we come from, hence the name of the project series. His art is mainly concerned about the human experience.
