Spoiled in Ibiza: STK Ibiza, Ocean Beach Club & Aguas de Ibiza Hotel

My first intro to the hedonists’ heaven was 10 years ago, when a hippie hostel owner picked us up from the airport smoking pot – the rest of the trip was sort of a blur.. Therefore, I was quite excited to be given an opportunity by JPR Media Group to experience the White Isle once again in 36 hours and get to know the other side of Ibiza.

EAT – DRINK – SLEEP  / REPEAT (In No Particular Order)

Party, Food & Drink – Ocean Beach Club

The first pit stop was Ocean Beach Club, a place dedicated to creating a unique experience for those looking for the ideal daytime destination under the Mediterranean sun. Thanks to the warmest reception by their Marketing Manager Ashleigh Stevens, who showed us around this amazing chilling out spot located on the west coast of Ibiza in San Antonio, we got to experience Ibiza in VIP style.

Ocean Beach Club might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you are looking for a ‘stylish pool party’ atmosphere in Ibiza, this is the place to be. I loved the quality of service they offer, you never feel like you have to wait for anything which is a massive plus,  you can just relax and enjoy the experience, so I can easily imagine myself hanging with a group of friends by the pool if I want a stress free afternoon surrounded by the beautiful people.

What made the whole experience even better was food. Normally, I wouldn’t expect from a similar place to excel in the kitchen as you come there for the different reasons, but the food I’ve tasted was superb. They serve a variety dishes from Mexican, Japanese, American and Italian cuisine, but my favorite was a sushi platter which simply blew my mind, one of the better sushi’s I’ve ever had.

Food & Entertainment – STK Ibiza

Everyone knows Ibiza for parties, but it rarely goes in combination with good food. That was proven wrong at my second pit stop STK Ibiza.

It is not really your usual steakhouse, STK Ibiza is mashup of fun and delicious cultural foodie experience. It brings the best of both worlds, amazing gastronomic and cocktail culture and creative live entertainment with an unrivaled party atmosphere on the Ibiza island. As a result, it become a real celebrity hot spot attracting the likes of Eva Longoria, Nicole Scherzinger, Tinie Tempah, Alesha Dixon and Tyson Beckford.

I quickly jumped on Tripadvisor before visiting the place and it said “STK Ibiza: Best Fillet steak in Ibiza“. Even reading that, I was quite skeptical about it, coming from Shoreditch it is hard to impress me with a burger or stake anymore. However, I was more than impressed.

Diners can expect to be served the highest quality USDA prime meat offering juicy tenderness and mouth-watering flavour, and can choose from a selection of 9 cuts including sirloin, rib eye, fillet, hanger, t-bone, New York strip and tomahawk all served with a selection of toppings, sides and sauces.  Maintaining its reputation for world-class standards, the venue works with local farms and suppliers to source only the freshest ingredients and produce.

Also, if you are not a fan of a stake you won’t be disappointed as well. You can choose from the fresh sea food and raw bar offerings including scallop ceviche, Japanese oyster shoots, Norwegian king crab, clams and mussels or vegetarian options such as Cep & Wild Garlic Risotto with mushroom & tarragon cream or Pan Roasted Cauliflower with caramelized cauliflower puree, pine nuts and capers. Rounding off the menu, are an array of sumptuous desserts based on popular classics and local delicacies such as, a Churro Milkshake with Dulce de Leche Ice Cream and Cinnamon Liquor & Churro Bites.

STK provides a unique destination for a clientele who enjoy dining with a twist; a modern restaurant with a cabaret feel, and creative events programme providing a unique experience for music and art fans. STK has introduced an exciting art initiative to support the growing art and cultural scene on the island. It has monthly exhibitions with international artists; the past exhibitions have included collaborations with The Opera Gallery, and graffiti artist SEEN.

Sleep – 5-star Aguas de Ibiza Hotel

Oh and there was Aguas de Ibiza Hotel. As his dudeness once said: It really tied this trip together. If you have a bit of money to spare and are looking for a perfect spot a bit further from all the noise, you can not go wrong. It has brilliant views to the beach, amazing rooftop and the spa center is within a hotel, so it reminds a bit a recreation center rather a hotel. It is based on a philosophy of equilibrium and freedom that envelops the guests in a unique experience of health and well-being.
