Britons original denim brand Lee Cooper opens a pop up shop in Shoreditch

Celebrating its rich brand history, Britain’s original denim label Lee Cooper is set to unveil a superior line of selvedge denim this October. The Cooper Collection by Lee Cooper references the brand’s heritage of manufacturing denim in East London since 1908 and is inspired by the jeans first offered by the brand.

The Cooper Collection is the result of Lee Cooper’s passion for denim and the brand’s desire to deliver a product that exemplifies the nature of raw selvedge denim and the culture that surrounds it, as well as in depth research into the brand’s rich archive. Each piece is handmade from the finest Italian blue selvedge denim. Rich indigo in colour, the fabric is raw, un-washed and reminiscent of heritage fabrics from Lee Cooper’s archives.

Woven on authentic shuttle looms, the exclusive denim features a small 31” vintage weave and cutting-edge innovations, such as a natural non-synthetic stretch in select cuts.  All styles come fitted with 100% solid copper hardware, traditional two-piece rivets and back pockets secured with concealed rivets. Chain stitched hems preformed on antique Union Special machines further cement the brand’s commitment to authentic denim construction. These first, limited edition pieces from The Cooper Collection consists of three men’s and three women’s  denim styles.

The Cooper Collection launch will be celebrated at the exclusive pop up shop in Shoreditch opening on 27th of October.  It is going to be an amazing immersive space that not only has the jeans and other items for sale but it’ll also have a gallery space of the work created for The Lee Cooper Document which include a stunning shoot shot by Nick Clements.
