London’s Original Gluten Free Festival Heads East

After 4 years as the most successful series of events Camden Lock Market has ever seen, the Gluten Free Street Food Festival is branching out and heading down the Regent’s Canal to team up with the wonderful Limehouse Social Market.

This April 29th sees the Festival taking 25 of the very best Gluten Free food producers and chefs to the glorious Limehouse Basin. As well as unbeatable gluten free street food, there will be lots of gluten free shopping, cookery demonstrations, talks and presentations, a gluten free bar, music and lots of family-friendly entertainment.

Gluten Free should never mean boring

Festival co-founders Jackie Clode-Dickens and Sarah Kettel launched the event in Camden Lock Market in 2012 after noticing so many fantastic gluten free street food traders coming onto the London scene.

Sarah Kettel – Street Food entrepreneur and Festival Content Director, said: “To me street food isn’t just about a hipster food truck and an Instagram account. It’s about bringing people together in open spaces to enjoy great food. It’s that inclusivity that pushed us to launch the Festival. Too often people with special dietary needs are treated as an after-thought. At our Festivals all the food is innovative, enticing and just happens to be gluten free”.

The festival organisers are planning more events at Limehouse later in the year, including a Christmas special, as well as returning to Camden at the beginning of July and perhaps taking a trip to the seaside this summer. More details to follow.
