Votes for Women by Louisa Johnson

“My Great Great Grandmother was Emmeline Pankhust. I have created a mixed media comprising of items from the Women’s Suffragette Movement including a letter written in Holloway prison, highlighting the suffrage that many women tirelessly, selflessly & putting them selves through peril for future generations and our human rights and equality. What is more uncommonly known is that after winning ‘The Vote for Women’ the Suffragettes / Pankhurst’s were not permitted to return toUniversity and study as they now had criminal convictions.”
