Improvised show inspired by TWIN PEAKS comes to London

Missing Twin Peaks: The Return already? Put down the cherry pie, knock back that damn fine cup of coffee and enjoy an entirely improvised production inspired by David Lynch and Mark Frost’s groundbreaking TV show. Live at The Nursery Theatre, Broadgate, from 6 October, The Owls Are Not What They Seem is a surreal and unique experience unlike anything seen in British improvised theatre to date.

“We have no idea where this will lead us, but we have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange…” Agent Dale Cooper

Revisiting the rich world and unsettling cinematic tropes Twin Peaks is known for, the show will explore the strange town and its suspicious inhabitants, with each evening charting a brand new, completely unscripted mystery set in a sleepy reality torn apart by the forces of good and evil.

Directed by Jonah Fazel of The Bumper Blyton Improvised Adventure and Audra Goffeney of Unexpected Productions, Seattle, The Owls Are Not What They Seem: Improvised Twin Peaks is a dark, moody slice of Americana created for the new Autumn/Winter season of original improvised theatre produced by The Nursery. The cast includes some of London’s top improvisers including Olivier Award-winner Lucy Trodd (Showstopper: The Improvised Musical, BBC Radio 4) and Dan Starkey (Doctor Who).

This is the perfect show for anyone who’s ever wondered what could make Lynch’s world more weird, more fascinating and even more unpredictable. It’s all made up on the spot and it’s waiting for you…
