Jacob Hashimoto has created a site specific installation made of entirely of the artists signature material bamboo and paper kites, intricately strung together.
‘Skyfarm Fortress’ is an immersive experience which offers the viewer an ability to float free by moving around the exhibit. The piece acts as a counter to his work ‘Gas Giants‘ which is located at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles.
The work reflects Japanese culture and heritage as it is tradition to gift sons paper kites when they are born.
