Prolific German Duo Wild Culture Remix Caezar’s ‘Hold On’

Prolific Austrian duo Wild Culture has stepped up to the remix duties for ‘Hold On’, lifted from UK Indie-pop trio Caezar’s new EP, HAIL! Remixes. Discovered by German duo Tube & Berger, Wild Culture has numerous releases on Kittball imprint, as well as Sony, Ultra Records, Warner Records, Spinnin Records, Armada Records, Big Beat and BMG. They have racked up over 60 million plays across streaming platforms and have been widely referred to by media as “The Austrian Response to David Guetta and Robin Schulzand have themselves been remixed by acts like Lexer, Nico Pusch and Purple Disco Machine.

After the release of their highly successful EP HAIL!,  produced by Justin Broad (Jessie J, Emeli Sandé, Izzy Bizu, Corinne Bailey Rae) and mastered by Stuart Hawkes (Amy Winehouse, Clean Bandit, Rudimental) Caezar have seen support from tastemaker publications such as CLASH Mag, The 405 and Music Week, amongst others. The trio has been featured on popular UK media shows ITV This Morning and BBC Music Introducing, and have had the pleasure of playing at the award-winning independent Barn on the Farm Festival as well as playing alongside names such as Hozier, James Bay and Jack Garrett.

‘HAIL!’ The Remixes EP features reworkings by Kitsune label delegates Is Tropical (UK Music Video Award – Best Animation and Best Rock/Indie Video, Antville Music Video Awards – Video of the Year), In Flagranti (who have remixed music from a host of acclaimed artists, including Erol Alkan, Crystal Fighters, Benny Benassi, Moonbootica, Bag Raiders, Blood Orange, Franz Ferdinand, Röyksopp and The Avalanches),  BAXT and MAKESHIFTER.

For ‘Hold On (Wild Culture Back To The 80s Remix), Wild Culture embellish the original track with an 80’s feel, lavishly detailing it with synths and a strong underpinned drum beat. The carefully sculpted beatscape is threaded through with intriguing details, creating the kind of urgency one only expects from a live band, while at the same time remaining completely uncongested.  Unfurling with shimmering intensity, ‘Hold On (Wild Culture Remix)’ is worth a listen if a hypnotic, otherworldly journey sounds attractive.

Speaking of the track Wild Culture comment: “It was cool to work with the vocals from “Caezar – Hold On” and give the original track some back to the future 80s vibes, bouncy electronic elements and our own samples which we recorded in the Austrian mountains.”
