Art on a Postcard brings urban contemporary art and street photography show at Old Spitalfields Market

This July Art on a Postcard (AOAP) will take over the upstairs of Old Spitalfields Market in the heart of Shoreditch, Europe’s hub of graffiti and street art, to present a unique auction and exhibition of Urban Contemporary Art and Street Photography. This is a unique opportunity to take home specially created and signed works by coveted photographers and street artists.
Art on a Postcard has enlisted the help of artists to curate the show. World renowned urban artist Ben Eine and the documentary photographer Dougie Wallace will present an impressive international line up of talent including Antony Lister, Pejac, Lady Pink, Vhils, Pichiavo, Miss Van, Faith XLVII, Ed Kashi, Melanie Einzig, Gus Power and Craig Reilly.
Around 600 unique postcard sized photographs and artworks will make up a comprehensive exhibition at Old Spitalfields Market with the online auction taking place via Paddle8. As always, the identity of all the artists will be remain secret until after the sale closes and as a truly democratic platform all the bidding starts at £50. With the urban and fine art worlds merging rapidly, this is a fantastic opportunity to take home sought after artworks for excellent prices.

Lot 50. Out of the Shadows.
The Private View will be held on 2 July, when Art on a Postcard will be joined by Jealous Gallerywho will be live screen printing and releasing an iconic Ben Eine ‘S’ for Spitalfields. On the Saturday Art on a Postcard will be curating five stalls in Spitalfields Market and will be joined by artists including Sara Pope and Rugman. All of the proceeds go to The Hepatitis C Trust’s campaign to eleminate hepatitis C by 2025.
Bidding is open on Paddle8 from 26 June-10 July and the exhibition takes place 2-8 July at Old Spitalfields Market.
