Fruity Flash Mob Descends on Battersea

When you’re strolling through Battersea Park and spot a giant light switch hanging above a crate of apples, surely the temptation is going to be too much. It’s not exactly something you see every day, after all.

In a new video from Kanzi apples, temptation got the better of passing Londoners, who grabbed an apple and pushed the switch, not knowing what would happen next.

With an explosion of colour, sound, dancers and acrobats, a flash mob descended on the unsuspecting fruit pickers, surrounding them with an energetic dance filled with stamping feet and backflips.

All the surprised Londoners could do was watch with unbridled delight as the scenes unfolded around them. Then, as quickly as the flash mob arrived, the crowd dispersed and walked calmly away as if nothing even happened, leaving the unsuspecting Londoners with a smile on their face and an apple in their hands.

The stunt, filmed in secret at Battersea park with the towering power station used as a backdrop, was released to encourage Londoners to make the switch (see what they did there?) to Kanzi apples.Kahmal who features in the video said: “It was mind-blowing. I got my phone out to film it as I thought my mates are never going to believe this. If this happens every time I eat a Kanzi apple then I’m definitely going to buy a lot more of them.”

Kanzi is now taking the Big Switch on a tour of Tesco and Sainsbury’s supermarkets and shopping centres. Thousands of UK consumers will get the chance to try the delicious Kanzi apples and experience the power of great taste for themselves. The activity includes sampling, prize giveaways and a social media competition to win a trip to the Big Apple.

So next time you’re wandering through Battersea and you find a crate of apples and a giant light switch, will you dare push it?
