Moving Lines presents The Power of Your Pen
Moving Lines is the volunteer-run collective that channels London’s cultural diversity into an exciting series of fundraising events. Gathering an impressive line-up of talented, pioneering artists, Moving Line’s first outing of 2019 will be themed the Power of Your Pen, referring to the importance of the role of the UK in the Yemeni conflict as a pen holder on the UN Council.
The event, taking place on the 23rd of February (3 pm to 3 am) at the Haggerston Pub, will be a day of cultural exchange to fundraise for Save the Children’s mission in Yemen, to whom all proceeds will be donated.
The programme of the day follows below:
- Children friendly Painting Workshop
- Poetry workshop
- Art exhibition
- Live music: performances from Nabihah Iqbal, Jack Tyson Charles and Roscius.
- Panel discussion about the Yemeni conflict with Noha Al-Maghafi, Akram Al Masnai, Baraa Shiban, who will be sharing experiences and discussing calls to action.
- Stalls and Campaigns: live painting portraits, comics, clothes and more.
