Dear Made in Shoreditch,
New documentary, GOODNIGHT LONDON, is premiering at All Points East Festival on Wed. 29 May. It’s a film about rapid change in London (e.g. the closing down of independent music venues in London) that features over 40 interviews with creatives from around the city. I think that this would be a great feature or event to spotlight, as the premiere is free and open to the public. We would like the event to serve as an open forum to get the community talking about gentrification. Would you be interested in covering this for Made in Shoreditch?
Here is the link to the film trailer.
Please find more information in the release below.
I am happy to discuss further should you have any queries.

The evening’s programme will include the Gentrification Panel, followed by an introduction to GOODNIGHT LONDON feat. Director Oliver Guy-Watkins and Producer Becky Tong. Following that will be the UK premiere of the film. The screening will be concluded by a Q&A session with Guy-Watkins and Tong.
GOODNIGHT LONDON is a film collage which provides a platform for over 40 diverse contributors from all over London to be heard. From rapper Kojey Radical, DJ’s Jamz Supernova and Conducta, to market trader Russell Dryden, former Specials singer Rhoda Dakar and gal-dem founder Liv Little. In the film, Director Oliver Guy-Watkins reflects on his 20-year love affair with London by asking how the rapid pace of redevelopment is affecting the creatives and communities which are its backbone. Transport projects, high end residential properties and uniformed high streets are not only removing the beautiful individuality of London’s boroughs, but they are also exposing the stark inequality that exists in 2018.
HYDE HILL was founded by Oliver Guy-Watkins in 2012 with an ambition to create films that cross borders and illuminate the human condition. GOODNIGHT LONDON is the company’s second documentary release in the past two years, following last year’s release of Overthrow the Social Order. Since its inception, the company has worked with a number of talented individuals across diverse creative industries to bring their stories to the screen. In 2017, HYDE HILL’s sister company, OGW Studio Amsterdam, was established. Since completing GOODNIGHT LONDON, HYDE HILL, in partnership with OGW Studio Amsterdam, has already begun production on its next two documentaries.
