Welcome Cinema + Kitchen is our monthly film screening and supper club – uniting Londoners of different backgrounds through Film, Food & Friendship.

*For each ticket bought, a refugee or asylum seekers attends free*

FILM: ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY is the first installment of the Star Wars anthology series, set just before the events of A New Hope (the 1977 original). The film follows a group of rebels on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star, the Galactic Empire’s superweapon. It features a diverse cast including Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen, and Forest Whitaker.

FRIENDS: Following the film, we are thrilled to be hosting Riz Ahmed in conversation with Nikesh Shukla! Riz Ahmed is an Emmy Award winning actor, musician, and outspoken advocate for refugees known for films such as Four LionsThe Reluctant Fundamentalist, and his portrayal of Bhodi Rook in Rogue One. Nikesh Shukla is an acclaimed author and editor of The Good Immigrant, a collection of essays by 21 British writers of colour discussing race and immigration in the UK.

FOOD: Welcome Kitchen World Food Supper club Iftar feast. During Ramadan, we observe fasting times. Dinner will be served at sundown. And, as always, the team will be delighting your taste buds!

Doors at 5:30pm, film at 6, Q&A at 8:30, and food (Iftar) at 9pm!
