I dedicate the 1st in this series of mix CDs to the summer of 2011, Shoreditch, London!
From loft parties to secret warehouse raves, quirky bars to outdoor ‘all dayer’s’, I’ve experienced a lot of what the house music scene has to offer in Shoreditch, yet with all its variety, one thing rings loud… Tech House!
2011 is, in my opinion the year Tech House rose from the underground and took center stage on all fronts, from the likes of Hot Natured and their deep majestic sound to the driven rolling 128 BPM side of tech house… it’s everywhere!
Now this CD reflects what I see as the general sound of Shoreditch taking lend from all sides of the
scene, starting with the hugely successful underground hit “Hungry For the Power” (Jamie Jones Remix) one that will almost certainly be considered to have track of the year status and finishing off with a deep and spacey vocal track by Noir and Haze, “Around”
Featured track: Noir & Haze – Around (Solomon Vox Remix) Bosnian born DJ/Producer Solomon takes what was a pretty decent track from Noir & Haze and gives it a complete rework, and wow does it deliver! A mesmerizing song with a great groove to it, definitely one the best deep house tracks you’ll hear at the moment.Check it out for yourself, its track 19 on the CD.
A great mix to listen to get you in the mood whilst also being the perfect after party soundtrack.
