Taking its name from a Balearic style city-island off the coast of Brazil, they aim to bring some of the Latin spirit to the concrete jungle that is London!
91-93 Great Eastern Street, a venue that boasts a large open planned space, decorated in an earthy relaxed style mixed with a fusion of Brazilian colour & vibrancy, all of a sudden Shoreditch feels that little bit warmer.
Open Tuesday through Saturday bringing a mixture of live music, DJs and private functions, Floripa aim to provide the perfect setting for the perfect party. There is a sumptuous cocktail list on offer, including a mixture of caipirinhas, mojotos and martinis; my favourite being the mango & passion fruit mojito (Batida de Salto) served in a tall glass with crushed ice and two straws, specifically made for sharing with a friend or partner.
Finally, the amazing food served daily with worldly ingredients picked fresh from the market by chef David Yorkston (Bacchus, Langham Hotel) and his team is not to be missed. Floripa offer their own unique twist on Brazilian cuisine with conversing elements and flavours in the form of exciting and extremely tasty tapas and feasting menus.
