Live in Shoreditch with ‘SPLASHH’

East London based band Splashh have achieve a vast amount in a short period of time. Forming at the beginning of this year they have taken the music world by storm. The four lads consisting of drummer Jacob, singer Sasha, bassist Bill and Toto the synth master and guitarist. With the backing of radio one DJ Jen long the four lads took to the stage at the launch of their new single ‘All I Wanna Do’. With an eclectic sound, Splashh are a band that are transforming the sound of music. Mixing old school garage with electronica and pop their performances are second to known giving a transcendent psychedelic feel. Keeping it retro, the boys have taken it back to the old school with their single even being sold on cassettes. Made in Shoreditch had the chance to get to known the boys better talking to lead singer Sasha and bassist Bill we find out about their wild parties, music inspiration and favourite Shoreditch haunts.

What the best thing you have got since becoming in the band?

Sasha and Bill: Free beers! And meet some nice people

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Sasha: ‘Brimes would be pretty good’
However upon hearing the question all say in unison ‘Paul McCartney’

Who is your biggest influence?

Sasha: ‘We’re all are listening to the pixies at the moment, Neil Young Saintt Etienne, we like to mix a bit of everything’

What is the most rock a roll thing have you done?

Bill: ‘We haven’t done much its only been three months so proberly the fact that we went swimming in brighton late a night’

How would you describe your fashion sense?

Sasha: ‘Casual, with a bit of a slacker twist, everyday comfy clothes is what we like to call it’

What is the best thing about East London?

Bill: ‘Its a place were all our friends live, lots of people have house parties, its just a good group of people’

What’s you secret Shoreditch hotspot?

Bill: ‘We go to broadway Sunday market but continue onto the pubs around here, we just love that is has good nights and a great mix of people, its hard to pinpoint because its just such a good area.’

What venue would you most like to play?

Sasha: ‘The Bowling Ally in Brick Lane, then we know we have made it’
