will launch their latest venture The Old Bengal Bar which will form part of The Old Bengal Warehouse comprising a fish restaurant, modern British grill restaurant and specialist wine shop. Located in a beautiful grade II listed building, originally built by The East India Company, The Old Bengal Bar will offer outstanding cocktails, a superb menu and impeccable service in a fun, buzzing and glamourous environment.
Bar Manager Milos Popovic, previously at Le Pont de la Tour and Claridge’s, has created a cutting edge cocktail menu that guests will be able to enjoy either inside or on the secluded terrace. The menu is designed to both educate and delight drinkers with a selection of historic cocktails inspired by the former East India Company’s heritage. Drinks will include a selection of vintage rums and cognacs including Barcardi gold 1930 and Richard Hennessy. The Old Bengal Bar will champion some of the world’s most classic cocktails such as Sazerac and New York Sour as well as the Italian favourite Negroni, and Clover Club which was invented at the old Bellevue Stratford in Philadelphia and other favourites with an Old Bengal twist, such as The Martinez and Prince of Wales, will feature alongside hand crafted signature cocktails including Fleur De Lis and Dirty Truffle.
In addition to the impressive cocktail list is the Old Bengal Bar food menu, devised by Kalifa Diakhaby (New Street Grill), which has been carefully crafted to compliment the drinks on offer. The menu features small taster dishes such as Scotch eggs, cheese straws and sausage rolls as well as more substantial options such as the Tiffin ‘Lunch’ and The Bengal hamburger made of 100% aged Black Angus steak, dopiaza onions, raita and tamarind chutney and steaks from the Josper Grill. The Gentleman’s High Tea (macaroni, Yorkshire Parkin, fish finger sandwiches etc) will be available between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.
The Old Bengal Bar will offer guests the ultimate experience: a stylish and luxurious environment; the finest drinks craftsmanship and service which is sure to establish it as the new place to see and be seen whilst enjoying the best cocktails in London.
