2. The Hoxton Pony

Our owner Gerry Calabrese has put together an impressive award winning bar team. The idea being to deliver some of the best drinks in the capital for accessible price range. The team have used organic, British produce throughout the 30 strong, original cocktail menu – which is Cajun inspired. Happiness Forgets is a dangerously addictive place to drink your cocktails. So chic, so comfortable, you can end up in the subterranean style pit for hours on end. Cocktails are made with a delicate touch and a mixologists pedantry for getting it right. Beautifully dingy and they serve some of the best drinks Hoxton has to offer.

The Brickhouse is the place for those who fancy a change from tradition and the Superhero Burlesque Show is sure to lift any Scrooge’s mood. Set in London’s Brick Lane, The Brickhouse captures the atmosphere of a 1930’s speakeasy bar whilst bringing it back to modern day with their contemporary style. 8. Lounge Bohemia

What lies beyond an innocuous-looking door is a tiny drinking den gussied up to look like a Bratislava bar circa From Russia with Love. To gain entry, call ahead to secure ‘an appointment’ (casual walk-ins are not encouraged); then ditch that Next suit & backpack, respect the owner’s diktats & you’ll discover some well-crafted & realistically priced drinks of distinction. Bohemia is one for serious cocktail fans & design purists – the Jägerbomb brigade simply won’t get it.

9. Whistling Shop

Now open in Shoreditch, the biggest thing to hit London’s drinking scene, is the last great thing in London’s drinking history. Fluid Movement’s second bar after the groundbreaking ‘Purl’ in Marylebone. Combining the charm of Victorian squalor with the elegance of grand Gin Palaces. The Worship Street Whistling Shop is set to redefine cocktails in the capital.

10. Loungelover

Loungelover is all about the cocktails. A great example of this is the bar’s namesake, the Loungelover a drink that comprises of an unusual mix of fig liqueur, sweet vanilla and lemon oil finished with Loungelover champagne A surprisingly delicate cocktail with a sweetness that doesn’t overpower the dry champagne. If you really like it sweet then opt for a Strawberry Lolly made up of Sagatiba Pura caçhaca mixed with strawberries, coconut, vanilla and cream.


11. The Shoreditch

The Shoreditch is a classy club where just about anything goes! We have mouthwatering food, refreshing drinks and spunky staff. There’s a massive lounge area upstairs that on Monday-Saturday features our very funky (and good-looking) resident DJ’s playing a disco-funk-pop sound as well as great live acts sporadically scheduled in. Downstairs in our club area we book the best DJ’s and bands.


12. Hawksmoor

Guardian commented cocktail in Hawksmoor as“A cocktail list to die for.” In our ongoing attemps to create London’s best cocktail bars, we’ve scoured our library of long out of print cocktail books to resurrect some great long-lost classics. We’ve also added some of our own, invented by our award-winning bartenders. All are made with the finest ingredients available.

13. McQueen 

55-61 Tabernacle Street, EC2A 4AA London
This is a joint that takes its cocktails very seriously and the list is sure to please connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts alike. There are around 25 in total, with martinis, sours, shorts and Champagne concoctions all well represented. Each drink is accompanied by snappy descriptions and many are inspired by some of the earliest cocktail recipes, such as The Fish House Punch which apparently dates back to 1732.


14. Off Broadway 

63-65 Broadway Market, E8 4PH, London
Off Broadway has been serving the finest cocktails and American Beer since 2009. We also feature L.A. Seuno Mexican street food. here’s a fabulous collection of specialist spirits and other ingredients – the house signature blends Rittenhouse Rye with fresh lime, falerum and ginger beer. Traditional and contemporary blends are present and correct, with a few unusual ones involving coffee liqueur.
