London-based monthly craft parties aimed at busy folk who are inspired by the customisation projects, DIY’s and recipes on Pinterest …. but never seem to have the time, space and/or con?dence to get crafty. At a Pinned it! Made it! Pinterest Party you get to actually make something from Pinterest that you can then take home and keep. And of course, show off to all your friends! Pinned it! Made it! Pinterest Parties are perfect for the ideas rich but time poor amongst us all.
How did the idea come about?
frustration that there was never enough time in their busy schedules to actually create any of the projects they pinned on Pinterest. Their solution? To hold Pinterest Parties, a dedicated time in their diary each month where they would get together and craft the projects, create the cocktails and cook the recipes that they’d been pinning. Pretty soon their friends started asking if they could come, and their lounges became too small to cater for everyone, so they decided to open it up to all and sundry, and that’s how Pinned it! Made it! began.Plum and Sarah want everyone, no matter whether they’re a total craft novice or lifelong crafter to be able to say, “Pinned It! Made It”!
Ticket price varies depending on the craft and included in the cost is a premium spirit jam-jar cocktail and post-work nibbles as well as all the materials needed to make the craft, plus fail-safe step-by-step
instructions, and Sarah and Plum are always on hand to help if needed.
Do I have to be crafty to come? And what if I don’t have a Pinterest account?
No not at all! All levels of crafters are welcome, especially newbies, and you don’t even need to have a
Pinterest account to take part either – although they can’t promise you won’t become addicted to Pinterest after one of their parties! Furthermore, all the recipes and craft tutorials are pinned onto the Pinned it! Made it! boards on Pinterest including photos from the night on the “Made it!” board.
When are where are Pinned it! Made it! Pinterest Parties held?
On the 3rd Tuesday of every month at A-Side B-Side Gallery located in Hackney Downs Studio, one of East London’s most creative and dynamic spaces.
