Artists Wanted To Go From Shoreditch To Saatchi With New Competition

Bildschirmfoto 2013-04-08 um 14.21.08Liquitex and the Subism Collective are on the hunt for a talented artist to take part in a not to be missed evening of live art and music, and have their work showcased at the Saatchi Gallery.

Illustrators, painters or street artists who can handle the pressure of a live crowd are invited to submit their work for consideration.

One lucky winner will then be chosen to create artworks live at the Shoreditch to Saatchi event, and then have their work showcased on the prestigious white walls of the Saatchi Gallery.

Taking place on Thursday 18 April 2013, Shoreditch to Saatchiwill feature appearances from prolific artists including Inkie, one of the most notorious graffiti writers in the UK, and acclaimed live painters Miss LED and Mr Penfold, as well as raising money for charity Art Against Knives.

Music will be provided on the night by Si Tew and DJ Dave Brooks.

Sarah Clark from Liquitex, said: “The Shoreditch to Saatchi event promises to be a fantastic evening of live art and music with some of the hottest artists and musicians the capital has to offer. The competition offers budding artists the chance to not only join in a historic evening but have their work showcased at an evening event at the prestigious Saatchi gallery.”

Entries can be uploaded until midday on Friday 12 April 2013. Submissions will be judged by Liquitex and Subism, and the winning artist will be announced on the Facebook page on Monday 15 April. Artists will need to be available on Thursday 18 April from 5pm and be able to make their way to The Book Club, Shoreditch.
