This Bank Holiday Sunday sees the return of the legendary Half Baked summer open air parties. Half Baked resident Greg Brockman will take to the helm with a little help from some of the finest purveyors of underground house music in the form of Point G (live), Livio & Roby and Odd Soul.
The good ship Half Baked drops its anchor in the first of a series of themed parties in a secret east London car park. For those of you who are averse to a little bit of rain, the Half Baked guys have masterminded a cunning plan- a special roof that can be brought out in case Mother Nature decides to do what she does best. So no raining on this parade. Sunday will just be the beginning of a summer of Half Baked love, with a further nine parties set to take place.
Monday 27th also sees the release of the second recording on Half Baked Records from Mike Shannon– the Slip It EP. Shannon’s signature sound can be distinctly heard, with crisp drums, hypnotic stabs and a haunting, modulated bass line. The flip side of this vinyl only release, features a remix from Thomas Melchior. Listen to the track here.
