Miniature Paintings

Hasan Kale is a Turkish artist who classes himself as a micro artist. He takes the ordinary object that is often overlooked by humans, and creates incredibly detailed art on its surface. If you enjoyed our piece on hyperrealistic gourmet representations, then you’ll love this. An opposite spin on Tjalf’s immense proportions, Kale aims to interpret miniature art with a contemporary eye to build up a new perspective. Kale utilises anything from butterfly wings, to nuts, to even grains of rice. The detail and precision in these photos is incredible, you often forget just how small the scale is. As Kale explains he wishes to create a new language in art, he also aims to transfer his skill and knowledge to future generations through his seminars and lectures at universities. See more of his creations here.
