London’s largest graffiti and street art festival is back for the bank holiday. The festival is seven years strong and has invited over 500 artists to come over the years.
Meeting of Styles is a block party that celebrates the graffiti and hip hip hop community. The group organizes different events around the world to promote an international art community to communicate ideas, work and skills. The UK event is managed by EndoftheLine, a London based company.
The two-day festival is from the 28th-29th of May in Nomadic Community Gardens on Brick Lane and is free for anyone. Attendees will witness the combination of live painting, music and culture over the weekend with more than 50 artists and writers painting walls leading from Brick Lane to the garden. The collaboration different artistic styles will be displayed throughout both days of the festival.
For musical enthusiasts, there will be a mixture of Hip Hop, Reggae, Scratching, Beatbox, Bass and Noise. The diverse line-up of music artists includes Ghosttown, Dabbla, DJ’s Maj Duckworth, Sugai and Super Scratch Sunday among others.
In addition to live music and art, different food and drink venues will be in attendance. Roving Café London will be there in a vintage Italian truck. This venue will be serving up baked cakes and fresh coffee. For the BBQ lovers out there, Dry Rub Club will be cooking up flavorful food, so make sure to bring a large appetite. For drinks, the EndoftheLIne will be hosting a popup Rockwell House Bar. This popup will serve tipples to help keep attendees refreshed and hydrated over the weekend.
Mini stalls will be set-up in the garden for purchase of art & clothing. There is also the option to get creative with workshops running over the course of the two days to have a go at painting something.
