As a portrait and visual artist, Ritchelly Oliveira draws from emotions to create his different pieces. The Brazilian artist noticed from an early age that he had a talent in drawing. This expanded to how he viewed the outside world and the emotions that accompanied each moment. His current design process is recognizing that the unknown eternal always goes hand in hand with the path of life. Many of his pieces focus on the key theme of love. While the artist admits that there can be a cliché behind the emotion, he sees the bumps and anxieties hidden beneath the surface. This has inspired him to display these scars in his own work as he has witnessed them on his own path.

His portrait series called Lacunas started from Oliveira’s need to display his desire. The theme resides closely to love and how that is perceived to the viewer. His different portraits contribute to him displaying his anguish, losses and how that has defined him as an artist. Love and the emotions experienced with love are universal. Oliveira wants people to view his portraits and potentially be inspired to share their own story, He believes that love can transform people in a way that is beautiful to capture.
