Daniel Taylor, an artist well-known for his double exposure work, is at again. In his latest series, he depicts the human silhouette and overlays different colors drawn with oil, paint and ink. He specifically uses the female body and abstracts body parts with different textures and patterns, which include organic matter such as sticks and stones.
The simplicity of the background contrasted with the stimulating silhouette speaks to the complexity of human beings and how they interact with themselves as well as their environment. Each piece has a unique perspective that is also equally tied to the other silhouettes as a collective.
Taylor’s elegant creations provide insight into the human experience and depict the beauty of “exposing” a different side to humanity.
