Sleeping Beauties Take Refuge on Rooftops

Sleeping beauties and sleeping giants alike come together in Ella & Pitr’s murals. Characters sleep atop roofs, cuddling up with the cement walls after weary travels or long days.

These characters have stepped straight out of their fairytales to sleep on buildings in the human world. Each giant painted takes advantage of sleeping — a luxury often ignored. They are not ashamed of snoozing in the busiest of cities, just hoping to get comfortable without a mattress.

Barely fitting within the confides of the building or lounging about, the subjects in Ella & Pitr’s paintings take pride in sleeping. They appreciate the smaller victories in life and avoid taking things for granted.
