Tideway have released the video that features Londoners talking about the new 25km ‘super sewer’ which is being built below the streets of London to replace the Victorian sewage system that was built after The Great Stink of 1858.
The new £4.2 billion Thames Tideway Tunnel broke ground in 2014 and will be completed in 2023. Once the work is complete at 24 sites in London, the amount of sewage discharged into the Thames will have decreased by 95 per cent, creating a better environment for London and its inhabitants.
