East London’s largest sun terrace is set to open during the May bank holiday

A new Hackney institution, Night Tales perfects the balance between laidback bar setting and underground rave space. Boasting East London’s biggest sun terrace and beer-garden, great street food and a mighty music programme, Night Tales is the ultimate destination for afternoon hangouts, early evening sundowners and late night party-goers alike.

Night Tales official Summer Terrace Launch will take place on the first May bank holiday weekend from Thursday to Saturday, hosting three days of great music, food and drink. Grainger & Friends, Theo Kottis and Soul Clap will be taking care of the music, alongside street food from Nanny Bills, Mama Jerk and Sons OF Slice and drinks from Night Tales’ renowned bar offering a new summer Spritz menu.

Launching with a new curated summer programme featuring the best street food, drinks and music programme, Night Tales will kickstart the summer season on Thursday 2nd May. Indulging in the nations love of street food culture, Night Tales will serve authentic Caribean food from Mama Jerk, Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Double Beef Patties from Nanny Bill’s and New York style signature pizza from Sons Of Slice. Expect collaborations, cook-offs, special dishes and more.

Night Tales offers an extensive drinks menu. Its brand new Garden Spritz Bar offers a list of sunshine-inspired spritz cocktails available in punch bowls for sharing, while the Club Frozen Bar will offer a cool twist on summer favourites including frozen negronis, frozen iced tea, gin and peach punch and frozen chilli and coriander mezcal margaritas. Night Tales also offers an array of craft beers, refreshing rosés, out-there orange wines and top-shelf Japanese whiskies, tequilas and mezcals.Joining the ranks of past parties from the likes of Diplo, Gorgon City, Disclosure, Octavian and more, esteemed London resident Grainger will be accompanied on Thursday by a group of his nearest and dearest DJ mates to provide the perfect soundtrack to the opening night and start of summer. Expect an eclectic mix of everything from acid house to classic disco.

Ahead of his debut album release in June, Friday night will welcome a performance from music obsessive Theo Kottis. His eclectic mix of melodies, passion, depth and understanding of music demonstrates a maturity beyond his years. He’ll be joined by renowned selectors Paramida and Nadia Ksaiba, as well as some special guest Phonica resident DJs who will be spinning into the early hours.

Closing off the weekend in style, London’s resident party starters Sunshine Soul will take to the decks during Saturday’s sunshine hours, before American DJ duo Soul Clap take over until 3am with their infectious blend of funk, disco, house, hip hop and reggae sounds.
