Canadian artist Adam Lupton shows what its like to struggle. In his oil paintings, realism and expressionism collide. The artwork show psychological and sociological battles within the subjects. Modern society confronts all of us in different ways, so we handle it in different ways.

Internal dialogue drives our days, but how much do we say out loud? The faces in Lupton’s paintings are cut up and going in multiple directions. These paintings show “moments of choice against the visualization of their outcomes,” according to his website. We’ve all struggled with a decision, Lupton shows it well.
