O.M.O: African culture in paintings

African cultures are known for the vivacity of colours, body painting and jewellery – and that is probably why they drew the attention of Felipe Bedoya.

Colombian artist and painter Felipe Bedoya developed his project, quite obviously, starting from African culture of face and body painting. With acrylic water colours on paper, he is able to capture the depth of the subject’s looks and create beautiful portraits that at a first glance might look like photographs, maybe because of the eyes and shadows, or because of the strokes of fresh paint that seem to have been just brushed on their faces.

You sure don’t want to miss Felipe’s talent and other beautiful projects — luckily, all of them are available on Behance.
