Art director Austin Tott shows an appreciation for the little things in his photo series, Tiny Tattoos. Tott captures tiny hand-drawn tattoos surrounded by the imagery that inspired them; a sail boat against a naval map, a small tree against a forest, an umbrella against some clouds and raindrops. Tott’s work often plays with scale and uses fun, surreal settings that help evoke whimsical narratives, with the artist claiming that photography gives him an excuse to do what is normally considered absurd. Although a simple concept, this line of images from Tott are undoubtedly engaging and almost have a dream-like quality to them.
