The Art Car Boot Fair Queen & Country Edition

The Art Car Boot Fair returns with an online spectacular in November with over 200 invited artists exploring the theme of ‘Queen & Country’. The fair is a unique chance to purchase works at astonishing prices from an exceptional selection of renowned artists. The theme for the November fair, ‘Queen & Country’ invites sincere, humorous, and creative responses to the contemporary state of affairs.
After an unprecedented period, which has provoked myriad challenges to the status quo, the Art Car Boot Fair turns to artists for their very own take on the theme. Expect everything from icons, myths, crowns, multifarious queens and jewels to cultural tropes, ironies, processions, pomp, absurdities, and punkish subversion.

QUEEN & COUNTRY

Responses to this topical theme include Susie Hamilton’s absurd and grotesquely comic processions of dignitaries, clergy and royalty titled ‘O Ceremony show me but thy worth’ (from Shakespeare’s Henry V); Haus of Lucys’ hilariously irreverent takes on commemorative memorabilia; Helen A Pritchard’s exquisite new set of works on paper which look like Rorschach coats of arms; Matt Collishaw’s stunning ‘Amaryliss 16’, Drag Queens from Geraldine Swayne and David Edmonds, a new print edition from Jamie Reid, new paintings by Catherine Lette and Christian Furr’s diamond dusted ‘Green & Pleasant Land’.
The November edition features an incredible mix of artists across all disciplines, from street artist Ben Eine to fashion influencer, illustrator and artist Bip Ling. Artists will present both unique works in response to the theme and other exclusives works for the ACBF. The glamourous car boot offers the opportunity to purchase work at one-off, bargain prices, from prominent figures such as famed photographer Rankin and sculptor Marcus Harvey. Organisations at the forefront of contemporary affordable art, such as Art on a Postcard and Jealous Gallery will also offer up amazing pieces for the savvy collector seeking big names at exclusive prices.

BID, BUY, HAGGLE

Art Car Boot Fair has made a name for itself as the only place to bid, buy and haggle with some of the most coveted artists in the world. Many pieces are available from £50 -£500 with some created and personalised by the artists on the day. It is the most original, affordable, exciting, and eclectic fair, offering a commission-free space for an invited line-up of artists to sell their work since 2004.
The November ‘Queen & Country’ event will take place exclusively online with a ticket system. Limited-edition first day access tickets can be purchased now for just £12 (rather than the standard £15) granting a first look at all the wonderful art and artists, access to an engaging Programme of the Day and live links directly into the Artists’ Studios. The fair promises to be the most exciting, subversive and thrilling edition yet before the cult event returns in-person next May.
