Last week, Ploom hosted its third Ploom Presents evening on Thursday 10th March with the warm, husky tone of Zak Abel, and support from the captivating Dakota Sixx. Hosted at The London Reign in the heart of vibrant Piccadilly, the evening gave guests the opportunity to witness some incredible up and coming talent, in a unique space, known for its Moulin Rouge-esque flair.
If you’re not already familiar, Zak Abel is known for blending his soulful vocals with R&B and pop – he rose to fame after supplying vocals on Gorgon City’s UK Top 20 hit ‘Unmissable’ and has continued excelling with high-calibre collaborations and his own incredible releases. Over his career so far, Zak has collaborated with some huge names, from Tom Misch to Kygo.
Songwriter and vocalist Dakota Sixx has received support from some of the biggest platforms and names in dance – from 1Xtra to UKF and Mixmag. She is super versatile and covers an array of genres, never straying too far away from her own unique style of clever wordplay and catchy hooks.
The Ploom Presents series was born from the idea of bringing next generation talent together with a next generation product, and Ploom will continue to host intimate events throughout 2022.
