Audacious UK Trap Duo Stööki Sound releases ‘Revival’ Single

London-based Trap duo Stööki Sound released their latest single ‘Revival’ on the 4th of November via Quality Goods Records. The single follows the release of ‘Lost’, which marked the duo’s return after a three-year hiatus, picking up from their collaboration with UZ and Foreign Beggars, titled Bang. Approaching 100 million streams across platforms, the duo has seen extensive support from top-end industry publications such as Noisey / VICE, Billboard, HYPEBEAST, Complex UK, HipHopDX, Bandwagon Asia, We Rave You, Magnetic Magazine, Your EDM, thissongissick, Dancing Astronaut, Pilerats, Run The Trap, among others. On radio, their music has been aired on BBC Radio 1 with Annie Nightingale and ABC’s Triple J. On YouTube, the prolific producers have performed at COLORS as well as Mixmag’s The Lab LA. Other noteworthy channels have featured the duo, including Trap Nation, Trap City, TrapMusicHDTV, Bass Nation, and AllTrapMusic to name a few.

Founded in 2012 and comprised of Jelacee and DJ Lukey, the London-based duo Stööki Sound creates audible art and aims to push the culture forward in music, art, and fashion. First garnering success with their 2012 breakout hit ‘Ball So Hard’, the duo has toured around the globe with the likes of Steve Aoki, Keys & Krates, Troyboi, UZ, and Hucci, played Tomorrowland, Sunburn Festival, Paaspop Festival, Wobbleland, and launched their own imprint, O.N.E. Worldwide (Originality Never Ends). After their split in 2019, they return in 2022 with a vow to take their music to the next level with a sound similar to UZ, Troyboi, and Baauer.

From the jump, Stööki Sound lets us know that they’re back and mean business. Releasing their guttural trap banger ‘Revival’, they breach the limits of the trap sounds. The monstrous record raises the heat to unmeasurable temperatures; a scolding 808 rattles, hi-hats scatter, and resynthesized vocal chops groan as the production comes to life.
