This August, London’s home of culture – BOXPARK – is debuting a two-day festival-inspired lineup ahead of London’s iconic Notting Hill Carnival. Introducing: Best Served Cold.
Set to bring BOXPARK Croydon’s 1,200-capacity venue to life on the weekend of August 23rd, the event promises live performances from cutting-edge to legendary artists, support acts and DJs, as well as an array of top-tier street food and ice-cold beverages.
DAY 1 – FRIDAY 23 AUGUST: THE DISCO & SOUL FEST
Celebrating Croydon, culture and the carnival spirit, the debut event will feature a star-studded lineup beginning with Grammy-nominated Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge, renowned for her timeless hit “We Are Family.” Also gracing the stage will be Rampage with an Old Skool Classics Set and DJ Ronnie Herel, ensuring a night of non-stop grooves and high-energy performances.
Festival-goers will enjoy sets from Dynamic Sound Collective and engage in interactive experiences such as the Movement is Medicine workshop, which invites attendees to join a vibrant disco dance session. Additionally, Rebel Clash will host The Vinyl Appreciation Station, offering a unique chance to explore a curated selection of classic vinyl records.
DAY 2 – SATURDAY 24 AUGUST: THE PRE-CARNIVAL FEST
The celebration continues on August 24th with a sensational lineup headlined by the iconic David ‘Ram Jam’ Rodigan, a cornerstone of Britain’s reggae scene – plus the one of the coldest DJ’s in the game, Rachael Anson. The festival’s second day will also feature Pure Vibes Ent., Rebel Clash b2b Cuppa hosted by Reeko, Circle ft. Kismet, Supa D hosted by Tippa, Martelo b2b Smutlee hosted by Benjamin D, and Ittman b3b Tany b3b Casnova.
Throughout the festival, Beatbox will be taken over by Sexy Lady Massive, while Reach LDN will dominate the terrace, ensuring a dynamic and immersive experience for all.
This event-series follows a period of recent announcements for BOXPARK including highly anticipated openings of new locations in Camden and Liverpool Street.
