Join us at Mama Shelter London 17 May for a panel marking International Day Against Homophobia, BiPhobia and Transphobia. Networking from 6pm followed by a 7 pm panel and talk start. This is the first in a series of Talks with LGBTQIA topics high on the agenda, with Max Slack taking the lead.

Remember the M&S LGBT sandwich? If you do, it’s probably for all the wrong reasons. If you don’t, it’s because even though it went pretty wrong, it still wasn’t able to make an impact. Pride marketing campaign history is littered with examples of content and creativity that didn’t quite hit the mark or missed it entirely, this session, bringing together industry and community experts will outline the key elements of a successful and authentic campaign that hits KPIs and engages the community, including:

o Finding LGBTQ+ themes which fit with your brand and content pillars

o Creating authentic and relevant campaigns

o Avoiding accusations of “rainbow-washing”

o Engaging internal teams and stakeholders

o Working with influencers, charities and community organisations
