Debutant electronic music producer Enrico Giuliani – aka Quiet A Lot – shares with Made in Shoreditch tips and secrets to step into the business with plenty of passion, but no budget.
A collection of practical and theoretical suggestions from an enthusiastic self-starter who has recently released his debut album ‘Get a Name’ (available for free download at his SoundCloud page).
1. Books and practice – Attending an accredited music production course is a great start to learn skills and techniques and study the basics of sound engineering and live recording. The classes are never boring at SAE Institute – the music college he is attending in Shoreditch – and get in touch with professionals and experts from the music business is fundamental for any aspiring producers.
2. Networking and digital promotion – If music is your real passion it won’t be that difficult to share your thoughts and upcoming projects with your audience and any possible business partners.
Make your music available through the social media is extremely useful to collect feedback and generate new ideas. Be on digital platforms such as SoundCloud, Bandcamp and Grooveshark can surely help to spread your music and in some cases could make it viral.
