Somerset House Studios, at Somerset House on the Strand, WC2R 1LA, houses artists working across music, visual art, technology and performance. It recruits new artists all year through an expression of interest, reviewed in three windows a year. It also runs residencies, including the Assembly Residency for music and sound artists, which comes with shared studio space, mentoring and a £3,000 project budget.

Makerversity, Somerset House

Makerversity runs workshop and studio space for makers, designers and small manufacturing start-ups at Somerset House. Members share tools and equipment.

It has two sites: Cockpit Yard, Northington Street, Bloomsbury, WC1N 2NP, and 18-22 Creekside, Deptford, SE8 3DZ. Its winter open studios, when the public can visit and buy, run from 26 to 29 November and 4 to 6 December 2026.

The Trampery, Old Street and Fish Island

The Trampery runs workspaces for creative and social businesses. Its Old Street building is at 239 Old Street, EC1V 9EY. Fish Island Village, at Icemaid Court, 13 Rookwood Way, E3 2XT, has studios beside the canal in Hackney Wick.

Second Home, Spitalfields
