A New Master: Street art by Ted Pim

Irish artist Ted Pim isn’t afraid to wander into the fearful unknown as he uses the walls of abandoned buildings as the canvas of his artworks. Armed with just his paints, industrial torches and a camera to document the piece once its done, Pim works for days alone in dark, desolate settings- like many other street artists he tries to keep his identity anonymous. Heavily inspired by The Old Masters, Pim’s creations reference painters like Rembrandt and Caravaggio, with the unusual environment fostering a moody, dramatic and almost religious atmosphere. A mix of opulence and dilapidation, the traditional and urban modernity, Ted Pim’s work is undoubtedly unique in style.
