Morty & Bob’s Kensal Rise, the family run all-day restaurant, café and bar in Kensal Rise is working with Art School, an online gallery that champions emerging artists working with printmaking techniques. Together they have commissioned artist Ellie Edwards to create a series of limited-edition linocuts of dishes from its menu.
The six A4 works include the famous M&B’s Grilled Cheese, a Bloody Mary, a breakfast scene of Coffee and Eggs, Steak and Chips, Pickles and a Smoked Salmon Bagel. Each work has been made in an edition of 20 and will be sold exclusively at Kensal Rise and via www.artschool.co.uk for £55 each (or £300 for all six).
The collection is Morty & Bob’s first artistic collaboration, and to mark the occasion, the brand will be hosting a public event at Morty & Bob’s Kensal Rise on 18th May from 6 – 9pm. The event is free to attend following registration and will include a casual and relaxed private view with a drinks reception.
For the chance to support emerging artist, Ellie Edwards, Art School and to own one of only 20 prints of Morty & Bob’s famous classics, please RSVP to events@artschool.co.uk.
Morty & Bob’s Kensal Rise is located at 118 College Road, sandwiched between Kensal Rise and Kensal Green Station. The venue is the first neighbourhood opening in the portfolio offering a relaxed home away from home for locals and visitors alike.
