When Bill Wyman entered the room at Chelsea World’s End, none took him seriously. Bass on his shoulders and a big amplifier at his feet, Bill was ready to perform in front of The Rolling Stones, hoping to replace the historical bassist Dick Taylor. “He had greasy hair and was dressed in rags. Brian and I didn’t like him at all. The first thing I asked him was to pass me one of his cigarettes!”, confessed Keith Richards years later. “Then he started to play his instrument and I suddenly became quiet: he was a real talent ”.

After 30 years of instable “shilly-shallying” with the band, Bill is now back and determined to tell something more about the Stones in a new, challenging role. The bassist is not only a musical prodigy, but also a keen photographer who tries to take pictures of various subjects: colleagues on tour as well as in their private life, beautiful landscapes, animals…His photos archive is exclusive open to the public Nov.2011 in the spacious Rove, Hoxton Square. You will appreciate a dizzy Mick Jagger after a party at Bahamas Islands, Keith Richards compared to a skull and even a beautiful portrait of Chagall in his house at St.Paul.
