His early influence was mainly from the UK House & Garage scene in the 90’s. After breaking into the uk garage scene playing at venues across London Mets continued djing & promoting events in the Uk and Europe.
Since then Mets has continued perform at many prestigious venues in the UK including 02 Arena, Movida, Bond London, Egg Club London, Scala Nightclub, Koko London, Sugar Hut, Area Watford, Oceana Watford, Supperclub to name a few. Q: How do see the house music scene in London at the moment?
A: The house music scene in London for me is the best its ever been all the way from the underground parties to main stream events im seeing everyone partying enjoying themselves creating a great vibe. The parties in London can go on until the next day and still be packed with people.
Q: When was your 1st live gig, and how did it go?
A: First real event I played at was back in 2000 at Area night club in Watford, I went b2b with a good friend which took some of the pressure off but, we both done well and had a great response from the crowd which always helps.
Q: You’ve been lucky enough to play across Europe including Ibiza, Amsterdam, Holland, Turkey, Spain & Cyprus, what would you say are the differences between the London scene and say, Ibiza?
A: For me, there’s nowhere like Ibiza, its one crazy party in the sun, on a beautiful island that you never want to leave, however London is a 365 day a year party if you want it to be, there is something going on every day of the year.
Now onto Shoreditch,
Q: Whats your favorite club/bar in Shoreditch and why?
A: My favourite club would be Cargo and bar is The Light Bar for its vibe and crowd.
Q: What do you think makes Shoreditch so special for partying?
A: There are so many parties showcasing some of the biggest talent in the world in many varied venues, warehouses, lofts, massive outdoor spaces, Shoreditch just has a different feel about it, something special.
Q: Do you remember your first time out in Shoreditch?
A: Wow, I can just about remember the last time out…. lol!
Q: Whats been your biggest moment as a DJ so far?
A: Playing for Cream & Funkinyou at Amnesia in Ibiza last year on the terrace.
Q: Favorite tracks & DJs at the moment?
A: Two of my favorite tracks at the moment are “Look right through”, Storm Queen and “Beat Me”, Supernova. Favorite DJ has to be the Cadenza boss, Luciano. His sets are always full of energy!
Q: Any notable moments for you in Shoreditch?
A: Playing at Herbal, always enjoyed my sets there. The place had some real underground atmosphere.
Q: Anything else to add?
A: Big shout to all the Funkinyou, Passion Fm family and all my mates who come everywhere with me, non stop partying all around the world.
