Acclaimed boutique music and arts festival heads from South West… to North East London this October.
The 500 is an intimate music and art festival moving this autumn from its popular base in Devon to take over Village Underground at the heart of London’s edgy cultural vibe. Not only is it a unique showcase of some of the most talked about Dj talent on the festival scene, but this particular festival has a cool indoor location, so mud is out, but wellies are “in” if that’s your style!
* October 6th 2012
* 12pm – 2am
* Tickets – £25-£30

Grammy nominated (The Garden) Zero 7 will be headlining The 500 with a DJ set. The Zero 7 gents are well know for their work with artists such as Sia, José González, Mozez and Sophie Barker. They have been under the radar for the past couple of years and working hard in the studio, so we are very lucky to have them break out to be part of The 500.
XFM’s legendary Eddy Temple Morris is a gem in the 500 line-up, the man who helped to launch such artists such as 2ManyDJs, Simian Mobile Disco, Kasabian, Justice, Sub Focus, Alex Metric, Pendulum, and Fenech Soler will be bringing his acclaimed skills to the decks to close the night.
Starsmith will be treating The 500 to a DJ set showing off a talent that has seen him working with the likes of Kylie Minogue (alongside Swedish House Mafia and Stuart Price) on four number one albums and remixes for Lady Gaga, Robyn, Bombay Bicycle Club, Beyonce, N.E.R.D, Marina & The Diamonds, and Timbaland.
Sylver Tongue may be most well know for fab front woman Charlotte Hatherely of ‘Ash’. Currently supporting Bat For Lashes and working with the award winning remixer and producer James Rutledge (Everything Everything), Sylver Tongue are taking the UK by storm.
Lonsdale Boys Club have spent the summer playing all the major festivals having been the House band on Britain’s got more talent. The boys are currently signed to Gary Barlow’s future records, and have had a successful year with support slots for Neon Trees, The Kooks, One Night Only and The Ting Tings. LBC have gone on to pick up many fans performing as main support for Olly Murs throughout his 2012 UK arena tour and will be supporting Jessie J in her slot at the 2012 iTunes Festival.
The 500 Festival sees a line up that reflects an eclectic combination of various music eras. Maker and Demob Happy bring a 70s edge, Shake Tiger Shake bring an 80s feel, but by the end of the festival we have made it to present day with our hot and happening line-up.
Alongside the games are art installations for you to ponder over and if you really want to feel part of The 500 we have a Graffiti wall where you can put your stamp on The 500 wall display.
Fully stocked bars and a variety of festival style food will be available throughout the day to keep you going.
The 500 is a unique event. It is made with love and passion and the dedication to ensure that everyone has the best possible festival experience.
