It’s that time of the year again, as the excitement and anticipation for NYE grows, so does the pressure of where to go or what to do. It’s that one night of the year we’re convinced has to perfect; perfect outfit, perfect location and perfect start to the New Year. However, sometimes the reality doesn’t always live up to the expectation. With so many nights to choose from it can be a tough decision, but with one of the biggest bass nights in the UK right under your nose, it’s made easy; Urban Nerds.
I remember going to one of their first raves in 2007 at 93 Feet East and hadn’t experience any night like this before, and have since not missed a single event of theirs. Whether it be a club in Shoreditch or at one of the various warehouses across London, there is no other event put on like theirs, giving the ultimate underground bass experience.Offering everything from dubstep to electro with some of the biggest names in the industry headlining, it ticks all the boxes. With their ever growing popularity, you’re bound to have seen one of their stickers or t-shirts across the UK establishing them as a one of London’s biggest bass brands.
NYE at Urban Nerds has sold out for the last three years and was recommended as one of the best events for NYE 2011 by Timeout last year. This year’s line-up includes resident Dj’s Marcus Nasty and Rattus Rattus, along with Redlight, Bondax and many more acts still to be announced. This year’s location is The Sidings Warehouse, which is just a 5 minute walk from London Bridge station. As always expect a huge warehouse, decorated with street artwork and thebest sound and lighting across the venues four rooms for the ultimate underground music experience (no portaloos this year is also a plus!). Kick off your new year like never before.
